Hey guys! I’m Kelsey, a Midwest based traveling photographer located in a cute little town in the middle of Indiana called Winona Lake. I grew up in the midwest, but actually lived in Seattle for three years. I just recently moved back to be closer to family again and the midwest truly does feel like home. So happy to be back. (But also, still love you lots Northwest!)
When I don’t have a camera in hand, you can find me traveling and exploring new places and finding all the best coffee and food spots. Speaking of food, I can’t live without Mexican food and could eat it for every meal. Chocolate chip cookies are a major love language for me and the bigger the better! Hanging with friends and laughing until I can’t breathe is a norm for me and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Hiking is so fun, especially if there is a magical view at the end or along the way. Huskies with blue eyes steal my heart, but to be honest, I’m more of a cat person. I appreciate others with good fashion sense even though I definitely don’t consider myself a fashion expert by any means. Most days you can find me in jeans and a cozy T or crewneck sweatshirt, so obviously super fashion forward haha
I love a good midwest sunset, running to clear my head, and most times when I go to a coffee shop my order is an iced vanilla latte with oat milk or hot cinnamon tea because yum.
Photography started for me when I was super young. I can remember always having a small digital camera that I would carry around with me to snap pictures of me and my friends. (My mom was really into documenting our family so I get a lot of it from her!) As I grew up, it was always just for fun, a hobby, and I never imagined it turning into anything more until college. I originally wasn’t going for photography or an art degree at all, but then quickly switched after I realized I wanted to be doing something I love for the rest of my life. After that I got a camera, started shooting everything I could, and eventually started booking different shoots. I eventually got into weddings and discovered my love for them. Capturing someone on one of the most important days of their lives never gets old. Its so fulfilling to capture timeless moments that will be hung on living room walls, put into albums, and shown to generations after. I get to tell love stories for a living and thats something I’ll never take for granted. If you are ready to jump into this thing with me, then hit that contact button and lets go!
