FAQ

How long have you been a photographer/what got you into photography?

It all started with my mom. She always had a camera in her purse and she was always snapping moments. She was really into scrapbooking, and would always be working on it in her free time. I always loved that she loved to capture moments and it inspired me. I think I got my first camera when I was in 4th grade. It was just a cheap little mini digital camera but I carried it everywhere and I took so many photos on that thing and then also started scrapbooking. I love looking back at them though, even though most are so bad and hilarious. I’ve always loved taking photos of friends and family, but I never considered that it could be my career until sophomore year of college. I decided to switch my major to photography and bought my first nice digital camera! I practiced and practiced, second shot a few weddings to become comfortable and more confident with them and then started booking portraits and weddings. I’ve been shooting now for about 4 years professionally! (There is definitely more to this story but this is the short version!)

Should I add on a second shooter?

I would say 90% of weddings that I’ve shot I have a second shooter with me and I always highly encourage it. I think for an elopement or more intimate weddings it is not always necessary but definitely something to highly consider still! For weddings its great for two different perspectives and makes sure that nothing is missed! I’m only one person and weddings are busy and I want to capture as much as possible for you so a second shooter ensures that moments are captured well. I have several people who are amazing and you can trust that I only bring along the best of the best!

How do you deliver photos?

I have a personalized online gallery called PicTime that I use to e-mail you your photos! You are able to view them immediately and download all of them, share them with friends on social media, buy albums and prints, and more! It’s super easy and convenient!

How do you charge for travel fees?

Travel in and 50 miles outside of Winona Lake, Indiana is free . I do create custom travel packages that include all travel fees that way there are no surprise fees later! No shady biz over here, I want to let you know what you are paying for. Depending on location, travel fees can include lodging, flights, rental car, Uber, subway etc. This obviously depends on session to session or wedding to wedding depending on location and length of shoot or wedding day.

How long after my session until I see all of the photos?

It depends on the season, but typically for weddings and elopements I get you back your full gallery within 4 to 6 weeks after the event. For portraits or couples sessions you can usually expect them back within 2 to 3 weeks!

What does full wedding coverage mean?

An engagement session, Me, as your main photographer, along with a second shooter for your wedding day, and capturing your getting ready photos all the way through partying it up with you at your reception! This is my most booked package and usually is within the 8 to 10 hour range for your actual wedding day. I customize all packages to your specific needs so pricing can range from wedding to wedding depending on your wants and needs.

Can I see a full gallery of your work?

yes, Yes, and YES! After you fill out a contact form you can let me know if you would like to see a full gallery and I would love to send you one or two to look at!

How do we book?

Head on over to my contact form and fill that baby out! Once I receive it and if you are like “Heck ya I’m ready to book you now” then all I need from you is $1000 as a non refundable retainer to hold your wedding date and a signed contract. The remainder is due 3 weeks before your wedding. If you are booking a couples session I need 50% of the total cost as a non-refundable retainer to hold your date and a signed contract and then the remainder is due the day of the session. (If there are travel fees, these need to be paid sooner to ensure proper time to book flights, airbnb’s etc.)

Do you travel?

UHH YESSSS. I LOVE TO TRAVEL. Lets get lost in another country together (I suck at directions hahaha) or stateside. I’m down for wherever you guys are going!!!

Do you make custom packages?

Yes I do! I can add any additional items to a package that you may want or need! For example, like adding an album or additional hours! All of my packages I customize to a certain extent based on your needs or wants because every wedding is different!
